Jesus Sees your greatness

Who would you be if you turned away from the person the world insists you are and started living like the person Jesus sees in you? The person Jesus always meant you to be is a person of greatness being made fit for eternity with him.

This 53-day devotional written in a conversational, and sometimes light-hearted, tone will guide you on a courageous journey to see yourself as Jesus sees you. With five to ten minutes of reading each day, you will explore his presence throughout the entire span of scripture. From our creation to his ultimate triumph, Jesus reveals himself as the universally unique and harmonious integration of divinity and humanity. As he shows you who he is, you will learn who you are now and who you are meant to be forever. Using an uncomplicated daily challenge and your time in prayer, the Holy Spirit is ready to transform you in challenging, achievable steps as you grow in faith. Are you up for the challenge?

Completed manuscript is 32,800 words and is currently out to beta readers. I have proposal requests and those are in process.

The (re)making of elias birdsong

Does God pass his time in Heaven, blissfully unaware of the worldwide judgement on his calendar, until some awful thing jogs his memory? Or is he deeply engaged with the people and geo-political events of Earth, generously pouring out his mercy as he prepares to administer his justice? When we enter sinless, eternal life with God, will he leave us as we came? Or will his creative and holy, loving-kindness perpetually transform us into someone better forever?

In The (Re)Making of Elias Birdsong, a novel set just prior to the Apocalypse, an unremarkable man undergoes a profound transformation. Elias lived his life as an unloved Joe Nobody. In his afterlife, Elias learns how little he understands about God. God commissions Elias to travel the world incognito, bearing witness to the stories of goodness and its lack in the lives of people common and great. Along the way, God has granted Elias a conversation with each of his children. Required to conceal his true identity as their father, what can Elias say to his children? What will assure them of God’s love for them before it is too late? Elias must confront the demonic forces who oppose his work and the memories of his past darkness, which those forces use to steer him from his calling. How will Elias be transformed as he becomes one of the central figures of God’s final judgment?

we stumble and fall

How does God make a life out of two damaged people? A novel of the life of the prophet Hosea and the wife God chose for him, Gomer. The dysfunction of Hosea’s childhood becomes fully his own as embraces the characteristics of the modern day “Incel” label. Gomer finds her power and prosperity in her sexuality. How much is enough healing for two very broken people to be used by God? Can God use these two to call Israel to repentance?

Project is currently at 17,000 words of an expected 115,000 to 135,000.
